Num. 1 A bronze lamp, excavated from St. Leonard’s Hill near Windsor, and donated to the society by the illustrious Hans Sloane, Baronet; the drawing of which and the copper plate into which it was engraved, John Talman, Esquire, director of the society’s works, likewise gave as a gift.
2. The Horn of Ulf, preserved, as it is believed, in the Church of St. Peter at York from the 11th century.
3. Baptismal font, in St. James’ Church, Westminster, from a drawing shown to the society by Samuel Gale, Esquire, treasurer of the same society.
4. Ancient image of Richard II, King of England, painted on the sanctuary wall, as it is called, of St. Peter’s, Westminster: a drawing of which was given to the society by J. Talman, Esquire.
